In Greece there are 4 plants of the Ericaceae family, the nectar of which produces the corresponding types of honey. In our country, depending on the type of heather harvested by the bees, heather honey can be autumn os spring honey. Its distinctive flavour, which is quite different from the best known thyme or blossom honey, is the main reason it has become widely known.
